NFC technology and its security
Mertlík, Tomáš ; Babnič, Patrik (referee) ; Rosenberg, Martin (advisor)
The first objective of this paper is to describe the Android operating system. The chapter presents history and architecture regarding to all versions of the operating system. The significant part of chapter is focused on security. The second main topic of this paper is analysing the NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. This technology is based on an older contactless system RFID (Radio Frequency Communication), so RFID is described either. The NFC technology chapter contains the description of usability, history and the definitions of physical layer, link layer and NDEF (NFC Data Exchange) data format, used for data transmitting. The next chapter is focusing on the analysis of the NFC vulnerability. It contains a possible attacks methods and solutions how to prevent them. The output of this paper is the projection and creation of an application, which allow sending an arbitrary data between two devices using the NFC technology. Additional Bluetooth technology can be used for larger files. In this case, NFC helps to create Bluetooth communication channel which is utilized for data transfer.
Device for personal identification and data sharing
Severa, Pavel ; Klusoň, Vladimír (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
Result of my work is make device for logging visitors or game players. I arranged to make two devices, web pages and communication protocol between server and devices. Graphical device will have graphical display with HDMI input, Raspberry main board, NFC reader, camera and GSM module. Second device will have microcontroler ATMEGA644, NFC reader, 2-4 line text display and optional GSM module. Both device will communicate with server via GPRS. Server can change configuration of devices and colecting logs
NFC reader with supervisory communication
Embedded System with Communication Interface NFC and Wi-Fi
Bugár, Loránt ; Valach, Soběslav (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with communication system design via the NFC and Wi-Fi interface. The thesis has two basic goals. The first goal is to create a device that is capable of storing of data and its subsequent transfer via the NFC interface. The second aim is to utilize this device for measuring various physical variables. The IoT technology is employed to fulfill the aforementioned goal. IoT technology is capable of visualizing data in real time and make them accessible via the Internet. The result of this work is an universal device, that contains the most popular communication interfaces, such as I2C, SPI and that is capable of processing measurement data from digital, analogue, and wireless sensors.
Smart digital door lock system using IoT networks
Vitula, Marek ; Kincl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
This master thesis describes the design of a battery-powered smart lock using IoT networks and NFC technology for user authentication. The first part of the thesis describes the individual components to be used for the device design and also deals with the design of matching circuits and the antenna for the NFC. The following part of the thesis describes the design of the hardware, particularly the design of the printed circuit board. The third part describes the firmware and the final part of the thesis is dedicated to the security analysis.
Modern Token-based and Knowledge-based Authentication
Ševčík, Michal ; Pust, Radim (referee) ; Malina, Lukáš (advisor)
This bacherol thesis deals with a modern authentization using an object and knowledge. It mostly focuses on authentization by means of USB token, Smart Java Cards, Smart .NET Cards and NFC technology and their subsequent use in the authentization in a local network.
Security of authentication protocols
Tran, Minh ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the security of authentication protocols. The aim of the thesis is to analyze current security threats and attacks on current card systems mainly JavaCard and Mifare. And then to create a mobile application using Android platform with NFC and HCE functions, which realises the founded attacks. These attacks are relay attack and card cloning. Mobile side of the application is written in Kotlin programming language and server side in JavaScript, EJS and CSS. In the end attacks on EMV and access system of an unnamed university are demonstrated.
Electromechanical door lock with biometric reader and NFC
Tkadlec, Prokop ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to prototype an electromechanical lock, that will be controlled by a biometric reader and NFC. In this bachelor's thesis all the individual components of designed prototype are presented and described. The next chapter presents selected software and hardware solutions and their implementation into the prepared physical configuration. The designed prototype enables the authentication of stored fingerprints and cards that support the ISO/IEC 15693 standard. Insertion and saving of authorized fingerprints and cards is possible via serial communication.
Mobile app for tag configuration in positioning system
Charvát, Jan ; Streit, Jakub (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the design and realization of mobile application cooperating with wireless locator. Its purpose is providing information about the device and its current configuration or changing that configuration in on or off state, even without any power supply. This is possible by thanks to the usage of modern short distance wireless technology – NFC. In case of need, it’s possible to perform firmware updates over the Bluetooth 5.0 technology. Both technologies are described in theoretical part of this thesis, followed by necessary parts of locator and realization of that application written in Java language for the Android operation system.
Access Control System Utilizing NFC and Arduino Microcontroller
Hájek, Jaroslav ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis focuses on acces systems including administration of locks, groups of users, users and their identities. For simple implementation of the system have been created four significant elements of the project: a web interface Locker, an application server Authentizer, MySQL database and an Android application. The web interface is used for system administration and included communication with the database. The server application is used for a communitation between the Locks and the MySQL database. The pivotal role of the server application is verification identities of users. The sever application and the database are used as publishing API. Android application is used as identity instead of identity card.
